So proud of Kat Le for getting her first muscle-up in the middle of a competition! The look on her face says it all!

2013 CrossFit Games Open!

The 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games season is a three-stage test of fitness, comprised of the Open, Regionals, and the world championships, the CrossFit Games.

The season kicks off with the Open, the most inclusive competition in the world. The top athletes and teams in each region from the Open will move onto Regionals. The best athletes and teams at Regionals will compete at the CrossFit Games, the world’s premier test to find the Fittest on Earth™.

In order to identify the fittest, we invite everyone in the world to compete in the Open (register here). Every Wednesday, from March 6 to April 3, an Open workout is posted. Everyone then has until that Sunday to complete the workout. Athletes have the choice of competing at a participating CrossFit affiliate, or submit a videotape of their performance to the Games website. The Open will consist of five workouts over five weeks.

At the end of the five weeks, the Open’s top athletes in each region will move on to the the second stage of the competition — Regionals. Each of the 17 Regionals will be a three-day competition where individuals compete head to head with judges. At the end of the weekend, no more than three men and three women will advance to the final stage of the competition — the CrossFit Games.

We hope that everyone from the gym signs up to participate! There will be many more details to come!

Whole Life Challenge

The Whole Life Challenge is a game of change. It starts with a health and fitness “snapshot,” physical measurements of your fitness, giving you an idea of where you are when you start. The game takes place over the following 55 days, and then ends with another snapshot. The challenge is designed to see what sort of change you can make over the course of the game. During the Challenge, you will check in with all aspects of your practice of health and fitness. It is a game where the moves are the choices you make every day — in nutrition, exercise, stretching, supplements, sleep, relaxation, and more. It is designed to bring all aspects of your health and fitness into focus and to create a life in which the practice of health and fitness is how you live, not just the things you do. The Challenge is also designed to have you creating a lifestyle that involves your friends, family, and community and transforms the health and fitness of the people who matter to you.

Every day of the Challenge you will log into the game site and report a score for all of your activities for the day before. As you go along over the 8 weeks, you will begin to see how your score and daily choices match up with the results you are getting. Simple as that. You will also compete with your friends and community to see who can get the highest score!

Dates: Febuary 16th- April 13th
