…and the winners!

Congratulations to everyone who participated in our Centerville CrossFit Games on Saturday. We had over 20 athletes who took on 3 tough WODs from the 2012 Games season, and in the end we had numerous individuals who hit PR’s in addition to those who scored at the top. Everyone was challenged to try new skills (who knew landing a simple broad jump could be so tough?) and attack weaknesses (we don’t think anyone wants anything to do with a OHS for awhile). Highlights include the following, who all PR’d on power cleans: Mike C, Dave D, Jay L, Josh C, and Wes. Our top finishers were Gerald (1), Josh (2), Wes (3), Willy (4), Dave and Mike (tied for 5), and Dan (6). Also notable were the three ladies who participated: Heather R, Kylie, and Ashley N. Gerald, now known all across the land as “the fittest man in Centerville”, received a bag of Progenex, a gift card to EarthFare, and a certificate for a free massage to soothe his recovering muscles. We would like to think Amie Freeman for donating the massage gift certificate, and Earthfare for the donation of the gift cards and water for participants. We look forward to our next event and hope even more people will be able to attend!

Our spots are quickly filling for our free community workout. Remember, this workout is open to anyone who wants to give CrossFit a try, and we welcome return guests. Participation in the August 4, 10:00 am workout allows the guests to enroll in our Elements class, a prerequisite for CrossFit and typically a $150 cost, for free. Guests may also opt to take 2 weeks of boot camp classes at no cost. To reserve your spot, please email Meghan at meghan@centervillecrossfit asap!
