CCF Games

With the CrossFit Games behind us, we at CCF are looking forward to our own version this Saturday, beginning at 8:00 am. Please add your name to the board if you plan on participating so that Becky can get heats together. We will have 2-3 judged events for everyone, followed by a final event for the top 5 men and top 5 women. We encourage ALL our members to sign up, as we will be able to scale workouts for any level of fitness.

We also want to give recognition to Mike Lyons, who represented CCF and CrossFit Troy this past weekend. For those who don’t know, Mike suffered an injury that prevented him from participating on Day 2. In his own words:

“I’m sorry to say that I suffered a slap tear to my right shoulder in the first event Friday. I was doing the first segment of the WOD where I had 2 minutes to work up to a max lift push jerk. I was successful and jerked 225 lbs overhead. But it came at a price. I was able to complete the rest of the WOD as well as the 2nd WOD (which did not go well at all, and I can’t blame the shoulder on that one). The next day (today, Saturday) I awoke to a vertually immoble shoulder.

I’m looking foward to watching my other Masters buddies continue on without me. Time to start rehab and preparation for next year.Thanks everyone for all your support.”
