CrossFitters on Vacation

This time of year we get a lot of questions from clients regarding how to exercise while traveling.

Here are a few tips:

1. Do a simple Google search and see if your destination has a box. Most offer drop in rates for out of town guests.

2. Use the following resources to help you select some simple workouts that can be completed with little to no equipment.

3. Take advantage of your surroundings. Go hiking, rent a bike, take a morning run along the beach, walk instead of drive to nearby points of interest. It’s ok (and recommended) to take a break from the intensity of CrossFit from time to time.

4. Speaking of breaks…consider using your vacation a break from everything. A huge component of your overall health is allowing your body to rest and recover. Taking a week or so to catch up on sleep and giving your body a vacation from the rigor of the gym can result in better performance when you return.
