Does Eating Healthy Really Cost More?

At CCF, we promote healthy eating as a necessity to quality performance in the gym. Often we hear feedback from clients, especially those transitioning from the Standard American Diet (lots of grains, processed food, fast food), in regards to the high cost of eating well. Many feel it’s going to break the bank to eat that way themselves, let alone feed their family in the same manner. This article highlights two main facts: 1-The true cost of unhealthy food is often hidden 2-Eating healthy doesn’t have to cost more.  Read on to learn what the real cost of failing to change your diet might be.

Centerville CrossFit is excited to announce a friendly competition to all of our clients: the 50 Day, Eat Clean, Get Lean Challenge. The contest will begin on October 4 and end November 24, just in time to enjoy Thanksgiving. We hope these 50 days of Paleo eating will serve to teach everyone some healthy eating habits so that you can effectively navigate the 6 weeks of holiday parties and gatherings in a more balanced manner. Participants will receive body assessments and mini-consultations to discuss the results at the beginning, halfway point, and end of the challenge. Additionally, this challenge is a competition, and prizes will be awarded at the end based upon improved body composition and fewest number of cheats.

If you have been feeling lost in terms of how to eat right to maximize your CrossFit potential, or if weight loss is a goal, this challenge is for you! In order to participate, sign up at the gym or email Meghan at meghanphilpot77@yahoo.com. There is a $30 registration fee which should be paid by the start of the challenge. We will have a kickoff meeting on Friday, September 30 at 6:00 pm to pass out information and answer questions. Get ready to change your life!


Free Community Workout
