Stay Inspired

The 2012 CrossFit Games Open was an incredible experience so many of our members. Each week we watched you conquer fears, achieve skills for the first time, and push yourself further than you thought was possible. However, the beautiful thing about a competitive environment is its ability to show you not only your strengths, but also your weaknesses. While nobody enjoys failure at any level, recognizing your flaws presents a clear path and perfect opportunity to get better.

Your competitive spirit and approach to your training shouldn’t have ended with the 12.5. Instead, we want that same excitement to carry over into each week you are with us. Use it to motivate you and to set goals. What skills are you lacking? Where might you gain strength? If you haven’t already, we encourage you to sit down and set some concrete, tangible goals. From there, talk to our trainers and your fellow athletes and design a plan to achieve them. It’s up to you to use time OUTSIDE of the WOD to make yourself better than yesterday. The following article outlines some key components for getting it done. #killmode

And for those who are missing our Friday night Games events, we have something for you. Each month, the Friday before the Community WOD we will now be hosting a whole gym, competitive workout, beginning this Friday at 6:00 pm. We will have all of our regular classes EXCEPT 5:30 and 6:30 pm. For those who come at 6:00 pm, we will divide into heats and follow the same format as the 5 week Open competition. We hope to see you there!

Note: Our April community WOD is now at capacity. If you haven’t made your RSVP, please mark your calendar for our May 5 workout.
