I am a…
I am a Dad, husband and a landscape architect. I try to give my all at everything I do each day.
I love…
I love my family. I have a beautiful wife and two beautiful girls ages 7 and 10. I work out in the morning class before work so I can spend lots of evening time with them.
I dislike…
I dislike chewing noises. I actually have a specific gene in my dna that sends me into instant rage at the sound of chewing. It really is a thing! Misophonia….look it up.
I eat…
I eat mostly healthy. I try to keep my carbs low through out the day. I stay away from fast food. Moderating my junk food is always a struggle for me but I win that battle more times than not.
I will be…
I will be a healthier and more active person later in life because of the habits that I am forming in my life today. Eating well, staying active and crossfit.
Tell us a little bit about yourself, hobbies, occupation, etc…
I love the outdoors. I have always worked in landscaping because I could not imagine being stuck in the office all day. I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, bike rides and hikes with my family.
What brought you to Centerville CrossFit and CrossFit in general?
I came to CCF because I was missing something at my gym. Sitting around and lifting with some occasional cardio was not getting me anywhere and I could not stay consistent. I was always into athletics growing up and CCF has become my sport.
What goals have you achieved? What are your new ones?
My initial goal was to get the techniques and proper forms for all the movements. I’m doing pretty well with that now, so I am starting to add more weight. After that I plan to work on my speed.
What is your favorite movement?
I love the snatches. It’s something that I am good at.
What is your least favorite movement?
Burpees, by far, is my least favorite. Mine turn into pukies very quickly.
What is your favorite quote or words to live by?
“One day at a time.” and “Do the next right thing.”
Do you have any advice to new members or someone thinking
about joining?
I suggest setting a schedule and sticking to it. Do the workouts as your coach assigns them. It takes patience but you will see results and avoid injuries.
What do you love about Centerville CrossFit?
I love the community CCF has created. During the Covid shut down, the community really stepped up and showed its strength. The staff really cares and it is evident.
